Starter Build Guide

This starter build is for new Dicero players who need a stable route before chasing specialized damage. The goal is not to create the highest damage setup immediately. The goal is to survive longer, understand how dice choices affect combat, and build enough consistency to clear early chapters.

The Logic

New players should focus on consistency first. Don’t chase complex builds until you understand the core systems. A run that clears safely teaches more than a flashy route that collapses before its key upgrades appear.

What to Prioritize

1. Basic upgrades - Get your first few upgrades before worrying about optimization
2. Stay alive - Defensive options help you live longer
3. Weapon switching - Use Sword for bosses, Hammer for mobs

Works Best For

• Learning the difference between single-target and AOE stages
• Early chapters where survival matters more than perfect damage
• Players who do not yet know which upgrades are worth forcing

Watch Out For

• Lower late-game damage if you never transition into a stronger route
• Boss fights where your damage is too spread out
• Overcommitting to defense when the run needs faster clears
